Recognition Reflects CBM’s Commitment Towards Society and Humanitarian ServiceKUMAR MADHUKAR
Chandigarh, May 8, 2026: In a proud moment for the trading fraternity, Sh. Sanjeev Chadha, President, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal (CBM), was honoured with the prestigious “Philanthropy Award” by the Chandigarh Red Cross Society for his valuable contribution towards humanitarian and welfare activities.The award was presented by Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, during the celebrations of World Red Cross Day held on 8th May 2026. The recognition is being seen as an honour not only for Sh. Sanjeev Chadha but also for the entire Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, which has consistently worked for the welfare of traders as well as social and humanitarian causes.
For decades, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal has remained one of the leading organisations representing the interests of traders and market associations in the region. Along with raising issues concerning traders and market development, CBM has also actively supported various public welfare and charitable initiatives, particularly making significant contributions towards relief material for flood victims in Punjab.As well by organising Blood Donation camps time to time
Expressing gratitude on the occasion, Sh. Charanjiv Singh, Chairman, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, thanked the Chandigarh Red Cross Society and dignitaries for recognising the contribution of the trader community towards humanitarian service. Diwakar Sahoonja Vice Chairman CBM stated that the honour would further inspire the organisation to continue serving society with dedication. Office bearers and members of various market associations congratulated Sh. Sanjeev Chadha and termed the award a matter of pride for the entire business community of Chandigarh.
