Chandigarh 23 jan 2023 In the meeting it was informed that the main function would be held at Parade Ground, Sector 17. The national flag will be unfurled at 10.00 AM in the morning by the Chief Guest Sh. Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator UT, Chandigarh on Republic Day. It was further informed that Tableaus of different departments will be displayed during the Republic Day function at Parade Ground. The Contingents from Chandigarh, Punjab & Haryana Police, NCC and schools will participate in the March past. The school students of various schools will also perform at the function.
The meeting finalised arrangments for smooth and error free conduct of national event.
The DC directed all the concerned departments to make fool proof arrangements for R-Day Celebration. He asked the security agencies to ensure fool proof security at the venue.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Director School Education, Director Higher Education, SDM ( Central), Director Public Relations, DSP Security & Traffic along with other officers from Engineering, MC were also present in the meeting.
