Chandigarh, November 18, 2020: Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij today awarded an amount of Rs. 42 lakh for renovation of 58 Urban Primary and Community Health Centres which have been providing better health care facilities, besides having excellent professional and ethical behaviour and maintaining cleanliness within their premises. Mr. Vij presented the cash rewards to 58 health centres in 17 districts through video conferencing here today. For this, five clusters had been made in Haryana.These include 55 Urban Primary Health Centres, two community health centres and one FRU.
For this, Rs. 2 lakh has been given to the winner, 1.50 lakh to the first runner up, one lakh to the First Referral Units (FRUs) and Rs. 50,000 has been provided as an incentive amount.The Health Minister said that the highest prize money of Rs. 13.50 lakh was distributed in the district Gurugram. Similarly, Rs. 4.50 lakh each in Ambala and Jhajjar, Rs. 3.50 lakh each in Yamunanagar and Panipat, Rs. 3 lakh in Kurukshetra, Rs. 2.50 lakh in Rewari, Rs. 1.50 lakh each in Sonipat and Faridabad, Rs. 1 lakh each in Karnal, Panchkula and Bhiwani, Rs. 50,000 each in Palwal and Rohtak.
Congratulating the winning Civil Surgeons, Mr. Vij said that the health centres should always remain geared up to participate in such competitions. He said that all the Primary Health Centres and Community Health Centres and government hospitals should take special care of cleanliness in and around the hospital premises. Providing every best possible health facilities in the State hospitals is the priority of the State Government and he hoped that all the hospitals in Haryana have NABH certificate.Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Mr. Rajeev Arora and Mission Director, National Health Mission Haryana, Mr. Prabhjot Singh were also present in the meeting.
