Under the supervision of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, SSP/UT and close guidance of Mrs. Sita Devi, CPS, DSP/DCC and Insp. Jasminder Singh,I/C DCC, the team of District Crime Cell got a major success by arresting
two accused in vehicle theft and Arms Act case.
BRIEF OF CASE:-
Case e-FIR No. 982 Dt. 25.09.2024 U/s 303(2) BNS added 317(2) BNS and 25-54-59 Arms Act PS-34, UT, Chandigarh. On 25.09.2024 Sh. Ramesh Lal S/o Makholi Ram, R/o H.No. 740/2, Adarsh Nagar near Naya Gaon, SAS Nagar (Pb) got registered e-FIR No. 982 dated 25.09.2024 regarding theft of his Honda Aviator Scooter bearing No. PB65M-2970 alongwith documents from the vicinity of “The Punjab State Cooperative Bank”, SCO No. 175-187, Sector-34/A Chandigarh.
Today i.e. on 05.11.2024 on secret information, police party of DCC, Sector-24 Chandigarh apprehended 02 persons namely Ankit Sharma @ Sunny and Gurpreet Singh @ Sanju from near Rally Ground Sector-25
Chandigarh while they were riding on Honda Aviator Scooter bearing No. PB65M-2970 which was stolen in the said case. Ankit Sharma @ Sunny was driving the scooter and Gurpreet Singh @ Sanju was sitting on the back seat of the scooter and during search kamanidar knife recovered from the possession of Gurpreet Singh @ Sanju.
